Come and enjoy: The official launch of the ‘County Leitrim Percy French Society’ and a performance of some of the works of Percy French will take place on Friday next July 20 at 8pm sharp in the Hunt Hall (opposite library), Castle Street, Mohill, Co.Leitrim. Senator David Norris will perform the launch. Refreshments will be served. Everyone welcome

Tidy Towns: Judging for the Tidy Towns Competition can take place at any time.  Thank you to everyone who has painted, tidied up, put up flower boxes and hanging baskets, kept gardens beautiful, mowed, tidied, mended and painted fences, removed small debris, picked up litter and swept outside their private houses and business premises. Please keep up the good work and if a problem emerges tell a committee member - Tommy Dolan, Declan Cumiskey or Kay Maguire.   We were told about littering at the start of our new Canal bank walk. Six bags of rubbish were subsequently removed from the area. We are in the middle of preparing a three year plan on rubbish removal and would like ideas or comments. In the waste minimisation section we can reduce rubbish going to landfill if we have a small brown bin for fruit and veg peelings.  This bin is very small and compact and has its own interior bag. It is available from McLoughlins.   Thank you to all the people doing jobs behind the scenes. Keep up the good work.
