GOLDEN WEDDING:Congratulations to Seamus Gibney and to his wife Kathleen who now live in Coventry England on the celebration of their golden wedding anniversary with their countless friends wishing them many years of good health and happiness.

DENSE FOG: Prevailed throughout the district on Sunday night Monday morning which made travelling for motorists extremely hazardous. In some cases drivers had no option but to abandon their vehicles due to the poor visibility.

OVER 50S: Cavan social services invite you to a social in Killygarry Hall on Thursday 8th November at 7.30pm. If you wish to attend give your name to Fidelma in the post office Ballinagh or call Margaret Rudden on (049) 4337935.

GARDENING CLUB: Ballinagh Gardening Club will hold their monthly meeting in the community centre on Monday 5th November at 8pm.Special speakers Niall and Roslyn from Tullyvin garden Centre. All are welcome. Refreshments served. Admission for non members is 4 euro nightly.

ADULT SET DANCING: takes place in Kilnaleck hall every Tuesday night from 8.30 to 10pm and for more information call Gerry on 087 6258989.

ROAD SAFETY: Now that the dark evenings have arrived road users are reminded that for their own personal safety they should exercise caution with pedestrians advised to wear clothing which will make them visible to other road users while motorists are asked to please dip their lights in the face of oncoming traffic.

GOOD WISHES: and continued success to recently crowned Cavan intermediate football champions Lacken as they now play Monaghan champions Doohamlet at St Tiernachs Park Clones in Ulster Championship quarter final.

SYMPATHY: is extended to Mrs Eileen Lynch Dublin Road Ballinagh on the death of her daughter Mrs Anne Neesnan which occurred in Wales . Deceased was sister of Mr Brendan Lynch Cavan Road Ballinagh to whom with the other family members I extend the sympathy of our community.
