BEREAVEMENT: The death took place on Sunday morning last of one of life’s gentlemen, Jack Dalton Druming. Sympathy is extended to his wife Mena, daughters Teresa Ann Frances & Rose sons in law grandchildren relatives & friends. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Fones 4 Life: Would you like to exchange your old mobile phone for life saving defibrillator equipment? If we collect 250 used/old phones the “Fones4Life” scheme will supply a defibrillator unit (worth €1300) free. A collection box will be available in the porch of the churches. So get collecting and ask your friends to help in this great, environmentally friendly way of putting your old/discarded phone(s) to good use and support a very worthy cause.

ARDAGH/BALLYCLOUGHAN GUN CLUB: Please note that gun club membership and insurance is now due. Fees are the same as previous years and can be paid in two instalments if required. Membership for the club will close on 31st August 2012. A game development show is being held in Birr Co Offaly on the 4th August at 10.30am. Any members who would like to attend this highly informative show should contact S Cranston as soon as possible. The club has a selection of decoying and clay shooting equipment available to members contact committee for details.
