Ballymacormack ICA Guild
Ballymacormack ICA Guild: The Christmas meeting was held in Stonepark National School and members as well as a number of guests joined in proceedings. Each member received a gift for the occasion and everyone enjoyed the night.
Sympathies were passed to the Kane and McCoppin families on the sudden death of one of our longest members – Mary Lizzie McCoppin – who was a member of the guild since the 1940s and 50s. When the new guild was formed in 1980, Mary Lizzie joined again and took a very active part in most competitions. We will all miss her – she was the life and soul of all of us and so witty at all times. Also votes of sympathy was passed to Esther Casey on the death of Anthony’s sister, Majorie Hegarty who died recently. A date was set for the annual dinner – it will be held on January 12 next in MacPartlands (The Richmond Inn) in Clondra. Members and friends are asked to contact our guild treasurer Kitty McKeever at (043) 3341375. Music will be provided for on the night....so hope to see you all there!
